Cape Coast, Jan 08, GNA - The men’s football teams of University for Development Studies (UDS) and University of Education, Winneba (UEW), will revive their rivalry in football this week, when they clash for the finals of this year’s Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Mini Games.
The crucial match, would be played at the Cape Coast Sport Stadium, on Thursday, January 10, 2019.
The UDS men’s football team, which is the reigning West Africa University Games men soccer Champions, beat University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) 2-0 whiles UEW beat University of Ghana (UG) 1-0 during the semi-finals games played yesterday (January 07) to book their places in the grand finale of the competition.
The UG would face of with UENR for the third position.
This year’s GUSA Mini Games, the eighth edition being hosted by University of Cape Coast, kicked off January 03, and would end on January 11.
All the public universities in the country with the exception of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology are competing in the event for laurels in various disciplines.
