Kumasi, Jan. 5, GNA – Ministers of Manna International, an Association of Pastors Worldwide, have celebrated their 5th anniversary, with a call on Ghanaians not to be exhausted of doing good to mankind and society.
Bishop Dr. Prince Hampel, the Leader of the group made the call at a special awards ceremony organised in conjunction with Wisdom for Winning, which was held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi, to climax activities for the anniversary celebration.
He said God rewards genuine commitment to serve society to one’s best capability and ability, and therefore, urged Ghanaians not to be tired of giving off their best for the progress and development of society.
“Let’s do our best to impact positively on our families, communities, the nation and the world at large and the Good Lord will surely grant us grace and bless us bountifully,” he said.
Mr. Osei Asibbey-Antwi, the Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, in an address, charged Pastors and church leaders, to use the pulpit to work on the minds of their congregations, to serve the nation well.
He also tasked them to use the pulpit to promote environmental sanitation, in order to give true and practical meaning to the Biblical concept that “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”.
“A clean environment will make the people healthy, increase productivity and earn good income to better their lives, and serve the Lord and country in joy,” the Chief Executive said.
Rev. Dr. Douglas O. Frimpong, the Arch Prof. Dr. Asafo Agyei Anane, Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo, Nana Kwakye Amankwah Sarkodie II, Mr. David Akuetteh and Mr. Martin Osei Kwaku Brobbey were honoured for excelling in religion, medicals, politics, chieftaincy, media and business respectively, during the year 2018.
