Accra, Dec. 13, GNA - The Ghana music industry is gradually growing from strength to strength as each day, sees the introduction of a new artiste.
The latest, on the scene goes by the name “X-coba Kay”, a Koforidua- based singer, songwriter and rapper.
Known in real life as Richard Carl Lewis, X-coba Kay is known for fante rap and R&B vocals, which are featured in his own hit songs as well as collaborations with hip-hop artists.
He was born in Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region on September 22 1992 and had his elementary secondary and tertiary education in Takoradi.
During his childhood days, he used to spend his vacation at his grandmother's residence in the Eastern Region.
His grandmother was a member of a singing band at church and introduced young X-coba Kay at the early stages of his life.
He then began singing and performing as a teenager at school functions, amongst others.
He has now signed to a music label named "West & East". This group has produced songs like: Dey der, Jemilla, amongst others, which is enjoying massive airplay in the Eastern Region and across the country.
X-coba KAy then came out with a song titled "Say No To Streetism" ft. JahJah Bowy of Rok FM Takoradi, to help curb streetism.
Currently his latest single, "Chalewote", is a trending song with a leading member of "West & East", Rakisa Luci" formerly known as Lord S.A.
X-coba KAy is about to release a Christmas banger titled 'Holy Night' as the festive season draws near.
His love for music cannot be measured to anything.
