Accra, Nov.10, GNA - Charles K. Akonnor, the head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has expressed delight over the return of his top marksman, Sogne Yacouba, after a long injury spell that kept him sidelined.
Yacouba, on Sunday made a second half appearance in their game against Black Meteors, where they emerged 3-0 victors at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Kotoko gaffer was delight with the steady recovery of the striker especially ahead of their Confederations Cup clash against the Kariobangi Sharks of Kenya.
"He was sick, but gradually coming back and I remain hopeful that in two weeks time he would be fully fit for the return leg encounter," Akonnor said in interview with the GNA Sports.
Akonnor revealed that, the Sharks are a very good side especially in their attacking prowess but were targeting a positive results in Kenya.
"Our opponents are good and they have a good forward line, having scored at least a goal in match and we have to stop that and look at ways we can frustrate them and have strategies very well and hopefully we can get a positive results," Akonnor indicated.
Kotoko would depart to Kenya on Wednesday ahead of the clash slated for the Kenyatta Stadium on Saturday, November 15, 2018.
