Accra, Dec. 10, GNA - Jordan Opoku, veteran midfielder of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has said, getting positive results against Kariobangi Sharks in the first leg encounter of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Confederations Cup, remains their major focus.
The Porcupine Warriors, would begin the campaign in the Confederation Cup, with the Kenyan side on Saturday, December 15, with the sole aim of qualifying from the group stages of the competition.
Opoku, who remains an important player in C.K Akunnor's setup, is confident about getting the much needed results ahead of the second leg and believes their hard work at training would eventually pay off.
"We are working hard to get things easy and hopefully we can replicate our form against the Sharks of Kenya and I want to assure our fans that we will get a positive result," he told GNA Sports in an interview.
"We have worked very hard over the past few weeks and it has boosted our confidence and you could see how compact we were in the two friendly matches we played.
Kotoko is expected to depart to Kenya on Wednesday, ahead of the clash slated for the Kenyatta Stadium on Saturday.
