Bodi (W/R), Dec. 6, GNA - Mr Ignatius Akwasi Amankwah, the District Chief Executive of the Bodi District, has called on senior citizens in the country to mentor the youth to became responsible citizens.
Mr Amankwah made the call when he Inaugurated the Bodi Chapter of Ghana Association of Pensioners at Sefwi Bodi in the Western Region.
He urged members of the Association especially those in his District to make it a point to mentor and serve as role models for the youth so as to expose them to the many professions and allow them to grow and develop.
He also urged the aged to exercise and keep good health practices.
"As pensioners you have acquired skills, knowledge and experience over the years in the course of your work, you can therefore come together to mentor the current workforce and imbibe in them a sense of Nationalism, Patriotism and Dignity in Labour," he advised.
Mr John Y Essel, the District Chairman of the Association, pledged the readiness of the DCE and the people in the area to use the experience acquired to support the development of the society.
