A committee headed by Mr.Joy Djorgbefu, who is the national coordinator, is made up of Mr. Wilson Agbesi Yao - Secretary General, Dennis Kweku Moore - Communications Director and Shaaban Mohammed as the Senior Technical Director.
A statement from the Communications Directorate of the yet to be inuagrated sports wing said,
"the federation would use the sports wing as a medium to educate the public on the need to embrace our brothers and sisters living with albinism rather than throwing their state into public opprobrium".
The statement added, "persons with albinism have indisputably been on the dark side of public ridicule in all spheres of life ranging from education, culture, health and sports.
"It is in the light of these misconceptions about Albinism that this initiative came to bear."
The Albinism Sports Federation is expected to encompass five sporting disciplines which includes; Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Athletics and Cycling.
The secretariat of the committee are expected to finalise the legal and constitutional obligations before submitting the completed documents to the Sports Ministry and the Sports Authority to acquire the needed mandate.
