Accra, Aug. 29, GNA - Prof. Atukwei Okai and Prof. Kofi Awoonor, renowned literary icons, have been selected to be celebrated during the 16th Ghana International Book Fair, fixed for September 1, 2018.
The event, dubbed “Literary Legends Evening”, is designed to be an annual segment of the Book Fair to celebrate literary icons.
The 16th edition would take the form of a Ghanaian storytelling session, which would feature performances, such as dance by the Noyam Dance Institute, folk and palm wine music by Seyram Ghana, Nene Narh and Nii Muzik, as well as poetry by Daavi Emefa, Chieff Moomen and Oswald Okaitei.
Contemporaries of the late literary icons, Prof. Lade Wosornu, Dr. Mawuli Adjei, Anumyam, Mr. Fred Mwanga Agboli and Mr. Allotey Pappoe would also form panelists for the evening.
The Ghana International Book Fair (GIBF) is an annual cultural event organised in Ghana to celebrate rich Ghanaian cultures through books.
