Accra, Aug. 19, GNA - The third edition of the Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF), ended on Saturday, with the call to build stronger global relationship through film.
The festival under theme, “film as a tool for national development,” commenced on August 11 and ended on Saturday, August 18.
The week long festival, featured events such as, open air cinema, open film/ceremony, screen writing workshop and Gala Awards night.
The ceremony saw some movie lovers and influential personalities like the second lady of the Republic of Ghana, Mrs Samiratu Bawumia, who graced the occasion at the opening ceremony, the king of comedy Kweku Sintim Misa (KSM) and Mrs. Catherine Afeku, Minister of Tourism and Culture.
The Black Star International Film Festival, is a non-profit organization, which is aimed at creating a global connection, through film and helping to bridge the gap between African cinema and the world.
The founding President of the Black Star International Film Festival Juliet Yaa Asantewaa Asante hopes to build a strong relationship with other countries through Film whiles creating impact in the industry.
