Koforidua(E/R), Aug. 19, GNA - The Association of Health Service Administrators(AHSAG) has condemned the chasing out of office of the Chief Executive Office (CEO) of the Tamale Teaching Hospital , Dr David Zaawunya Kolbila.
The Association said this was the second time that a group of political vigilante has chased out CEO of that hospital.
A press release signed by Dr Fred Effa-Yeboah, the National President of the Association, said the action by the vigilante group in Tamale is an indication of political interference in the management of the teaching hospitals in the country.
It called on all stakeholders to ensure that the legal arrangement for the appointment and removal of CEOs of the teaching hospitals in the country are followed to allow for effective service delivery.
The Association called on the security agencies in the country to take all necessary measures to bring the perpetuators of the attack to book to serve as deterrent to others.
The Association also urged the security agencies to take steps to unlock the offices of the CEO of the Tamale Teaching Hospital and provide the necessary security to ensure that the CEO and the staff of the hospital go about their normal duties without any hindrance.
