Accra, May 28, GNA – Enos Adepa, former head coach of Wa All Stars coach, has expressed worry over poor performance of the club in the ongoing 2017/2018 Zylofon Cash Premier League.
The former Ghana Premier League (GPL) champions have struggled this season as they suffer at the bottom of the league having accumulated seven points from 12 matches, which represent the worst points tally by the Wa based side since they gained promotion to Ghana's top flight since 2007.
Despite having a game in hand, Wa All Stars have been flaunted by many local pundits as possible contenders to suffer relegation considering their appalling form guide.
According to the coach he feels hurt with the relegation woes of the Wa-based side as their survival would now depend on how well they approach their games especially going into the second round.
''If I am the one in charge, I might be able to ensure their survival. I don’t think any Premier Division club, which is ready for the competition would ever think of going on relegation.
“As a former coach, who led them to win the title two seasons ago, I ask, what is going on?.
“But I am not surprised things are going this way, especially having watched them during their preseason campaign and it really hurts,” he added.
Coach Adepa was confident they would overcome the challenges and maintain their premiership status.
Meanwhile, All Stars handed themselves a little respite after their 2-0 win against Division Two side Jeffisi United in the round of 64 of this year's MTN FA Cup as they come up against Medeama in premier league on Wednesday.
