Accra, May 28, GNA – The national under-20 female team, the Black Princesses of Ghana would host Angels Academy in a friendly match on Wednesday, May 30, at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence at Prampram.
The match forms part of preparations for the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) 20 Women’s World Cup in France.
The team guided by coach Yussif Basigi began preparations for the biennial competition a week ago and are optimistic to be in fine form ahead of the World Cup.
Basigi’s charges would play the colts club to test their physique and readiness, after weeks of training sessions in Prampram.
The Princesses coach who guided the Black Queens to win gold at the All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville in 2015, has invited 31 players including five foreign based players for the competition.
The list would be pruned to 25 and 21 finally selected for the competition.
Ghana is in Group A with France, New Zealand and Netherlands and would open her campaign against host nation, France on Sunday, August 5.
The tourney is scheduled to start on 5-24 August in four cities in France.
