Takoradi April 05, GNA - The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GN Bank, Mr. Issah Adam, has announced its readiness to satisfy the GH¢400 million minimum capital requirement set by Bank of Ghana (BOG).
“We are on track in meeting the new minimum requirement in line with our capital plan submitted to BOG for the first quarter”.
The CEO was speaking at a ceremony held to reward 50 customers of the bank for their loyalty and contribution to its growth.
They were each presented with a certificate of honour and a hamper.
The event, the ninth to be organized by the indigenous Ghanaian bank, was also used to launch its “GN Mobile Money and the Payglobal” – innovations that allow customers to transact banking business without necessary walking into the banking hall.
Mr. Adam said it cherished and took pride in its relationship with the customers – the commitment to doing business with the bank.
That had helped it to grow into one of the largest banks in Ghana with strong footprints across the length and breadth of the country.
They would continue to put premium on customer service and he said that was the way to survive in the fiercely competitive banking industry.
“At GN Bank, as a service organization, customer service and customer satisfaction, are our prime concern, the bank not only believes that providing prompt and efficient service is essential but also recognizes the right of our customers to complain and indeed welcome their complaints as a valuable feedback to improve our service and products.”
It was for this reason that customer complaint desks had been set up in all the branches to receive and address customer complaints.
A Customer Service Department had also been established to vigorously drive the banks customer service policy
The CEO assured depositors that their money was safe and that it was liquid.
Mr. Allan Quaye, Marketing and Customer Service Manager, said it had introduced a number of innovative products to make banking more flexible and convenient for its customers across the 300 branches nationwide.
