Accra, April 4, GNA - Apostle Anthony Ahalivor, the Madina Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, has called on Ghanaians to work together to make the Free Senior-High School Policy a success.
He noted that this was important because of the huge benefits the nation stood to gain through the development of her human capital.
Apostle Ahalivor was speaking at the end of the four-day Easter Convention of the church at Madina in Accra.
It was on the theme: “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made the same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
Apostle Ahalivor said the implementation of the Policy had provided opportunity for many a student from poor homes who, otherwise, could not have received senior-high school education.
He urged parents to take advantage of the intervention to put their children in school to make their lives meaningful to society.
He applauded the Government for the bold decision taken to implement the Policy.
Apostle Ahalivor tasked religious leaders to desist from negative practices that may tarnish the image of the clergy and urged the youth to study the Bible and rely on the Lord to enable them to succeed.
Joseph Nii Torgbor Obodai II, Ogbojo Mantse, called on Ghanaians to open a new chapter by refraining from acts, which hinder national development.
He said Christians would be doing a disservice to the nation if they did not allow the teachings of Jesus Christ to reflect in their lives.
Nii Obodai, who donated a plot of land to the Church, commended the leadership for transforming the lives of many people in the community over the years.
