Accra, Feb.19, GNA - Two goals from Portia Boakye and a goal each from Grace Asantewaa and Priscilla Okyere secured a semifinal berth for the Ghana Female National team in the ongoing West Africa Football Union (WAFU) B championship in Cote D Ivoire as they beat Burkina Faso by 4-1.
The Black Queens lost in their first game by a goal to nil to the host Cote D Ivoire, but came back stronger to thrash Niger by 9:0 in their second game.
Ghana, who are using the WAFU B Championship as a rehearsal for the 13th edition of the Africa Women Cup of Nations by the Confederation of African Football Association (CAF), would be seeking to end the WAFU B championship on a good note to show their readiness for the 2018 Total Women Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for 17th November to 1st December, 2018.
