Assembly votes to retain Presiding Member

Nyinahin (Ash) Dec 08, GNA - The Atwima-Mponua District Assembly has voted to retain its Presiding Member, Alhaji Issaka Kombat.

This came after his only other contestant, Mr. Baba Yaro, had withdrawn his nomination, when two rounds of voting, was inconclusive - could not produce a winner.

Alhaji Kombat then polled 43 votes with one person dissenting and one rejected ballot.

He thanked the assembly members for the trust and pledged to work with everybody to bring development to the people in the area.
