Tema Dec. 8, GNA - The Presiding Member (PM) elect of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA), Mr. Patrick Osah Nyumor Atitiati Laweh says he will make TMA a paperless Assembly in order to make their work more efficient.
There are too many papers; I will come out with the first paperless assembly in Ghana because every assembly member of the TMA has been given a laptop, so before our meetings, every information will be sent to them," he informed.
He said this on Thursday after being declared elected by the Tema Metropolitan Director of the Electoral Commission (EC), Nana Oduro Nimapau at the TMA General Assembly hall, Tema.
Mr. Laweh observed that his good relationship with Assembly members, whom he considered as his younger brothers and sisters, would go a long way to harmonize relationships among assembly members, saying "I am a unifier and that will be of great service to the Assembly."
He said during his tenure, lateness which had come to characterize the Assembly's meetings, would be erased adding that "it is one area I intend to tackle seriously when I resume."
He asked fellow Assembly Members to join hand-in-hand with him "so that together we can pursue the Tema Restoration Agenda of our mayor."
He added that "we will fight to eradicate floods with its accompanied disasters during rainy seasons and make Tema clean as we work on our sanitation."
He said Assembly would ensure that the youth of Tema were well trained in the many schools at their disposal and assisted to get jobs.
