Ho, Oct. 18, GNA - Mr Kwaku Kpango, a 45-year old trader who was knocked down on his motorbike by a vehicle needs financial support for medical attention at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Mr Kpango, a native of Sokode-Lokoe, near Ho, also needs to clear his medical bills currently at GH¢1,659.00, which is increasing by the day at the Ho Municipal Hospital, where he is receiving “basic” medical care.
The trader was brought to the Municipal Hospital about four months ago after the road crash, through which he sustained a severe spinal injury leading to paralysis of the lower limb.
Mr Kpongo who has no health insurance is currently confined at the Municipal Hospital, virtually bedridden, though authorities of the Hospital had referred him to Korle-Bu.
Mrs Beatrice Abiwu, Matron of the Hospital, said in July this year Kpango requested to be released from the Hospital due to financial constraints.
She said though the Hospital referred him to Korle-Bu, he had remained at the facility because he had no money.
The Matron appealed to philanthropists, individuals and organizations to help clear his bills and for further medical attention at Korle-Bu.
