Accra, Oct. 17, GNA - The Black Starlets of Ghana will face Mali in the quarter finals of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Under-17 World Cup, after handing a 2-0 defeat to Niger at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon.
A neatly converted penalty from skipper Eric Ayiah in the 45th minute and a stunning long range shot from substitute Richard Danso on the 90th minute were enough to confirm a quarter final berth for the Starlets.
Ghana will face another African opponent, Mali who defeated Iraq 5-1 on Saturday at 14:30 hours GMT at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati.
