Anlo, June 05, GNA – The Centre for Agricultural Policy and Analysis (CAPMA), a Non-Governmental Organisation, on Monday donated 1000 mathematical sets and pens to candidates writing the 2017 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Anlo Constituency in the Keta Municipality.
The donation also included 10 cartons each of bottled water and assorted soft drinks, meant for supervisors and invigilators of the examination.
Mr Bright Demordzi, Executive Director, CAPMA, a native of Yenui, near Anloga and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Botiano-Englisi-Amanfro Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, said the presentation was "out of love and care for students" and his interest in academic excellence.
The former MP who toured some examination centres encouraged the candidates to put up their best and make the area proud.
Mr. Vincent Ntakor, Zion College Assistant Headmaster, who received the items, cautioned the candidates against examination malpractices.
A total of 1,306 candidates are writing this year’s BECE examination in the Anlo Constituency.
