The programme targets all tertiary institutions and out of school youth aimed to develop the skilled and the unskilled labour force in the country to unearth their potential and become experts in the external market.

Mrs Appau, said the youth constituted a greater number of population and it was prudent for the country to institute proacative policies for the youth to contribute to nation building.
She expressed concern about the spate of illegal mining in the country by the youth, saying Ghana had the highest literacy rate in Africa with more than 70 per cent of the population in the country educated, yet found themselves in illegal activities instead putting their effort to productive use.

She said the organisation’s preposition was to build a great and sustainable skills in young people in collaboration with the universities to develop employable skills for them since they were the future leaders.
“We want to avoid the issue where there are lots of pragmatic illiterates, a situation, where people studying agriculture but cannot use the knowledge acquired to contribute to the development of the nation.
“We add value, groom people so that when they come out, they are better employees and better entrepreneurs”.
She noted that the organisation focused a lot on small and medium enterprise skills development to enable sustainable business development in the country, adding that “It is only a country that has strong economic values and dependency on the private sector that will thrive”.
She said vision of the organisation was to see the country exporting human capital to the rest of the world and generating revenue for the country’s development agenda, and urged African countries to learn from the experiences of India, Singapore, and Philippines, which have used their human capital to develop their countries even though they do not have natural resources.
