Accra, May 19, GNA - The Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors of Ghana (ABCECG), is organising its Annual General Convention and Expo 2017 and maiden five-year Strategic Plan Launch in Accra, from May 25- 26.
The event, which is being organised at the Accra International Conference in partnership with College Publishers, South Africa, under the auspices of the Ministry of Works and Housing, is on the theme: “Promoting an effective construction industry for sustainable development (The need for a Regulator).”
A statement issued in Accra and copied to the Ghana News Agency says College Publishers have been entrusted with the role of organising the ABCECG convention.
College Publishers established in 1990 has a large footprint in Africa through its renown publications- Construction Review and African Mining Brief and have successfully hosted exhibitions in West, East and Southern Africa.
The statement said: “ ABCECG is happy to acknowledge the role stakeholders play in the construction industry by ensuring that you have full participation in this year’s convention, Expo 17 and maiden five years Strategic Plan Launch by offering you a compromise package of an exhibition booth.”
It said the Plan Launch would attract a large gathering, which would include construction engineers, contractors and other professionals with vested interest in construction and allied sectors, including high government presence, embassies, distributors and the public.
Some of the personalities invited include: Mr Samuel Attah Kyea, Minister of Works and Housing; Guest Speaker, Mr Alan Kojo Kyerematen, Trade and Industry Minister, and Nana Osei Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer, Private Enterprise Foundation and Executive Secretary, Africa Federation of Construction Contractors Association.
