Accra, May 17, GNA - ShawbellConsulting, an Accra-based Legal and Institutional Reform Services, on Wednesday, donated assorted items to the 37 Military Hospital towards improving health care delivery at the premier facility.
The items, which include air conditioners, furniture, upholstery, a 32-inch Samsung LED TV, and some walking sticks, would be utilised by the Yaa Asantewaa and Orthopaedic wards and the Blood Bank.
Mr Richard Torkoornoo, the Senior Consultant of the firm, who made the presentation, on behalf of Mrs Phyllis Maria Christian, the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, said the gesture was a token of appreciation to the Hospital.
He explained that Mrs Christian, was admitted to the Hospital a few months ago “and was treated well beyond her expectation at the Ward”, and therefore, deemed it fit to aid the Ward.
This was preceded by a thorough assessment of some the basic needs of the Ward.
He said Shawbell was committed to helping grow the economy through its corporate and social activities saying, “Anything we can do to help Ghanaians develop the economy is what Shawbell stands for”.
Mr Torkoornoo encouraged health practitioners to deliver the best of services to patients in their line of duties.
Brigadier General Ernest Saka Jnr, the Commander of the Hospital, who received the items, commended Mrs Christian for the gesture and called on benevolent institutions and philanthropists to support the Hospital.
