Apam (CR), May 13, GNA - Mr Bismark Baisie Nkum, the President’s nominee for District Chief Executive (DCE) of Gomoa West District Assembly, has received overwhelming support from assembly members to endorse his nomination.
All the 51 assemblymen and women cast their votes without dissent for the confirmation of the DCE to speed up the development of Gomoa West District.
Some of the assembly members insisted on popular acclamation and it took the Gomoa West District Electoral Officer, Madam Loretta Lawson, some time to cool down tempers for voting to start.
Mr Nkum, in his acceptance speech, said he would ensure the completion of the Mumford Mini Harbour to provide employment opportunities to the teeming youth in the district.
He paid glowing tribute to some past DCEs of Gomoa West including the Late Kow Ayanful and Late Kofi Bruce for the solid foundation they laid for the district.
