Dormaa Ahenkro, May 8, GNA – Steve Pollack, Technical Director of Berekum Chelsea, has cast doubt over the ability of Aduana Stars to win the 2017 Ghana Premier League (GPL), though he admits they are a strong side.
Speaking in a post-match interview, he said he was skeptical, Aduana Stars was good enough for the title, for the second time this year, in spite of their good performance and their current second position on the league log.
Chelsea lost by lone goal to Aduana Stars in their Week 14 played at the Nana Agyeman Badu I, Stadium in Dormaa-Ahenkro.
Tanko Mohammed got the only goal of the match in the 15th minute, after he powered home a lose ball at close range in the penalty area.
“I watched DVD videos of Aduana Stars, this is what helped me to introduce some tactical changes during the game. But we lost glorious opportunities,” he stated.
He said his team lacked the commitment and attitude to fight to win stressing, “though the second half was much improved than the first half, i thought we could have done much more in the second half but we did not”.
Steve Pollack was hopeful the team would pick three point in their next game to advance to the next level.
