Hedzranawo (V/R), May 3, GNA – Togbi Sape Agbo V, a Senior Divisional Chief of the Somey Traditional Area in the Ketu South Municipality, has cautioned persons allegedly holding up themselves as overlords of the area to stop such acts.
He said there could not be and there has not been any installation of a new overlord until the burial of the body of the late Togbi Hor II, the former Fiaga, who passed on four years ago.
Togbi Sape Agbo said this during a press conference held to address some false claims to the stool by some individuals.
“I Togbi Sape Agbo have the prerogative to install a candidate as the Fiaga of the Somey Area, and no one has yet been installed, and until that is done, I am acting as the Fiaga of Somey”, he said.
He said, “I can only install a new Fiaga after a final determination of a pending case at the Volta Regional House of Chiefs and anybody who, therefore, poses himself as the Fiaga, must be ignored”, Togbi Sape Agbo said.
In a related development, Togbi Sape Agbo, said the traditional area was in support of government’s efforts at resolving the dispute between youth of the area and the Seven Seas Salt Company, which claimed a life and led to several being injured.
