Dzatsui (E/R), April 27, GNA – Eye of the Lord Foundation, an orphanage at Dzatsui, near Nsawam, has been presented with assorted items costing over GH¢5,000.00 for the upkeep of the children.
These included clothing, first aid kits and medicines, bags of sachet water, boxes of soap, toothpaste and toilet roll.
They were a gift from the Centre for Life Christian Organization, an NGO.
Ms. Everlove Agyeiwaa, a United States (US)-based Medical Assistant, handing over the items at a ceremony, said this was their contribution towards taking care of the orphans.
The orphanage, started seven years ago with 11 children, now has a population of 100 – 52 boys and 48 girls, between the ages of one-and-a-half and 18.
Ms. Agyeiwaa pledged regular visits to assist make things comfortable for the children and she invited individuals, organizations and groups to join that noble cause of humanity.
Mr. Samuel Kwapong Darko, Founder of the Orphanage, thanked the NGO for the gesture and said it was a welcomed relief.
He appealed for support for the construction of additional dormitories, a library and information communication and technology (ICT) centre.
