Akim Oda (E/R) April 17, GNA - Mr Richard Adu, the Asamankese District President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has admonished the public to let the atonement of Jesus Christ be meaningful by showing His teachings in action.
He explained that, the atonement was the fulfilment of the plan of salvation made by the creator before the beginning of life.
“We are bound to go by the faith and deeds to achieve it,” he added.
He gave the advice during the declaration of Akim Asene branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which was developed under the leadership of President Solomon Tsenadu of Akim Oda branch.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was established by Prophet Smith on April 6, 1830 in western New York and has branches across the world.
The Relief Society, an official auxiliary of the Church which is a philanthropic and educational women organisation founded in 1842, is referred "one of the oldest and largest women's organisation in the world".
Madam Ernestina Dadey the President of the Relief Society - Akim Oda branch who always backed members to go by charity as the basis of the organisation used the occasion to talk about the effect of the atonement of Jesus Christ as an opportunity that needed to be enjoyed by all.
