Jointly owned by Olam International and Sanyo Foods, Nutrifoods Biscuits has undertaken a US$8.25 million upgrade with the installation of a third production line and the introduction of new state-of-the-art equipment and technology into the FSSC–accredited facility.
Highlighting the significance of the expansion to Ghana’s food manufacturing sector, Mr Alan K. Kyeremanten, the Minister of Trade and Industry, would lead the inauguration proceedings.
He would be joined by Dr Koh Poh Koon, the Minister of State for Trade and Industry of Singapore, where Olam international is headquartered.
The Biscuit Factory currently manufactures four sub-categories – the digestives, crackers, malt and milk and milk shortcake and has an assorted portfolio including some of the preferred consumer brands - Royal Perk Milk Shortcake, the Royal King Cracker, the Royal Milky Magic and the Royal Digestive.
