GKA to hold special championships dubbed “The Night of Peace”

Accra, Nov. 8, GNA - The Greater Accra Kickboxing Association (GAKA) and the Ghana Kickboxing  Association (GKA)  will in December hold three Kickboxing Championship as part of efforts to promote peace before, during and after the 2012 General Elections.       A statement signed by Charles Christian Nortey, General Secretary of GKA and copied to the GNA Sports said, the three events are slated for the 1st, the 15th and the 29th December, 2012 at the Rawlings Park, Salenko Night Club - High Street and the RLG/Hathramani Sports Hall, Accra Sports Stadium respectively at 7.00 pm each night.      According to the statement, the three events, will also serve as a platform to unearth talents to form the nucleus of the national team.        It said, the GAKA and the GKA will on Friday, December 14, hold a press conference ahead of the championship, at the Media Center at the Accra Sports Stadium to announce their preparations for the three events.        The Associations will also use the occasion, to present awards and certificates, to both fighters and sponsors who made it possible for the former event at the Sea View Hotel last year.
