Obama goes to the White House again

Chicago (USA), Nov. 7, GNA - President Barack Obama of the United States of America has got the nod to serve the people of America for a second four-year term.
His victory comes amidst a rigorous campaign on the side of both the Republicans and Democrats even not withstanding the superstorm Sandy which nearly marred the political atmosphere and activities in that country some days ago.
President Obama polled 274 of the electoral college votes as against Mr. Mitt Romney who had 201 votes. In the US electoral system, no matter how many popular votes a candidate gets, he or she must win at least 270 of the electoral college votes to be able to enter the White House.
His re-election as President of the United States of America has received a large applause from thousands of enthusiastic voters who thronged the McCormick Place, Lakeside in Chicago, Illinois, to monitor results in what is termed Election Night Watch party in the US.
President Obama has been touted as a man who has brought some economic relief to the American People, built on the nation's territorial security, given women's issues a priority and served the interests of the Middle Class and the aged among others.
