NDC and NPP to contest in all 29 Parliamentary seats in Brong-Ahafo Region
Sunyani, Oct. 23, GNA – One hundred and twenty-nine (129) candidates filed to contest for the 29 parliamentary seats in the Brong-Ahafo Region at the close of nominations for Election 2012.
Mr Samuel Boadu, Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Director of the Electoral Commission (EC) in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani said they included seven women.
He said the seats are being contested by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), New Patriotic Party (NPP), Progressive People’s Party (PPP), United Front Party (UFP) and People’s National Convention (PNC).
The rest are Convention People’s Party (CPP), National Democratic Party (NDP), the United Renaissance Party (URP) and 10 independent candidates.
