Odotobri Rural Bank donates towards Farmers' day
Obuasi, Oct 22, GNA - Odotobri Rural Bank at the weekend donated items worth about six hundred Ghana cedis towards the Obuasi Municipality Farmer’s Day celebration to be held at Kwabenakwakrom.
The items included 60 crocodile machetes, 10 pairs of wellington boots and five knapsack spraying machines.
Mr. Johnny Owusu- Boadi, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, and the General Manager, Mr. S.B. Ahmed, made the presentation on behalf of the bank.
He said: ‘’Odotobri has been contributing to the farmer’s day and best teacher’s awards day of the municipality every year, and we do this just to motivate our hardworking farmers and teachers’’.
Mr. Owusu-Boadi, who is also the Obuasi Municipal Director of Education, said the bank was committed to its social responsibility and allocated part of its profit to improving the lives of the people.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. John Alexander Ackon, who received the items on behalf of the Assembly, said the bank was a reliable partner for the development of the municipality.
He said the assembly would reciprocate this gesture by helping to facilitate the growth of the bank.
