The Societe Generale led the advancers, it rose by 1.5 per cent to close the session at GH¢0.68 per share, whilst the GCB Bank climbed by 1.3 per cent to close at GH¢3.97 per share.
Ecobank Ghana edged by 0.1 per cent to close at GH¢6.87 per share but GOIL fell marginally by 0.9 per cent to close the session at GH¢1.11 per share, Nordea Capital Investment Stock Market analysis made available to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, on Tuesday indicated.
According to Nordea Capital Investment Stock Expert, trading opened on the bourse with activities registered in eleven equities with four price changes, with three gainers and a laggard in effect, the benchmark GSE-Composite Index edged by 0.1 per cent to close at 1,770.5 points.
The GSE-FSI also gained 0.3 per cent to close at 1.658.1 points whilst volume traded was 292,198 shares which were valued at GH¢101,837.10.
The Nordea Income Growth Fund is priced at GH¢0.2857 with a year-to-date return of 3.93 per cent.
On the interbank market, the Ghana Cedi fell against two of its major trading currencies; it inched by 0.04 per cent against the US Dollar at a mid-rate of GH¢4.2706; lost 0.4 per cent against the Euro at a mid-rate of GH¢4.5539; shed 0.4 per cent against the Pound Sterling at a mid-rate of GH¢5.3427.
