The Ghana Futsal team was shown the door in the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations on Monday, April 15, 2024, after suffering an embarrassing 11-3 defeat at the hands of Angola.
Ghana came into their third and final group game with no points from their first two games against Zambia and Morocco, where they lost 5-2 and 8-3, respectively. The team wasn’t up to the task of even turning things around in their last group game to accumulate some points.
Ghana ended their Futsal AFCON campaign on zero points, conceding defeat in all their group games, dashing hopes of making Ghanaians proud moving forward. Their poor run of form against all three opponents outlines the massive work needed to turn things around for the team to get back to its best.
The semi-finals for this prestigious tournament are slated for Friday, April 19, 2024, where host nation Morocco will face the runner-up of Group B, with Angola taking on the winner of Group B.
