Manufacturer of ‘Formula 74’ immune booster and food supplement, Diagnostic Herbal (DH) Clinic, has called for the government to support producers of herbal immune boosters as it engages stakeholders on ways to live with the Covid-19 infection.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the DH Clinic, Dr Nana Yaw Owusu Gyapong, in an interview with DGN Online said Formula 74 which has the potential to boost the human immune system, if endorsed, can support the national Covid-19 response measures.
President Akufo-Addo is scheduled to address the nation on May 31, with many anticipating the lifting of the ban on social gathering.
So far, over 7,000 positive cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Ghana with 34 deaths.
Dr Gyapong explained that with a strong immune system the Covid-19 virus which is ravaging the world including Ghana can be brought under control.
“Since this will help, there should be a support for us to do more in terms of teaching others how it is made and also increase our production so more Ghanaians can have access to the product,” he said.
The clinic that has established itself in Takoradi as a leading alternative medicine facility has recorded some significant results in its management of chronic diseases.
The latest, is an HIV patient who started his treatment at the clinic four years ago, now having no antigens and antibodies of the virus.
Dr Gyapong said test results conducted at the Korle Bu reference lab proved negative for the HIV antigens in the patient’s blood after his treatment.
He said DH Clinic with branches in Takoradi and Accra has also recorded significant successes in patients with conditions such as Diabetes, Hepatitis B and C, Prostate Enlargement, Infertility, low sperm count, stroke, kidney diseases, Ulcer, Typhoid Fever, Hypertension, Syphilis and Asthma.
He said the main treatment used at the facility is herbal adding that patients who otherwise were on orthodox medication have improved after visiting the clinic.
“A lot of people come from outside Ghana and Eastern region … a lot of people have passed through the treatment and the medicine is 100 per cent herbal and we are doing well,” he said.
