Cristiano Ronaldo
Juventus player, Cristiano Ronaldo, was possibly left stranded on the Island of Madeira over the weekend.
That was after his £30 million private was grounded in Madrid over the weekend.
The jet was accordingly heading to the island to fly Ronaldo and his family to Turin, Italy.
But reports say the plane was blocked three times from flying in Madrid.
However, reports say after the tussles with travel restrictions in Spain, the jet was allowed to fly.
Reports say it touched down in the Portuguese island on Sunday night, May 3, 2020.
The Gulfstream G200 touched down around 5:30pm local time and left again shortly afterwards for Turin with luggage and some of his staff on board, according to report.
Ronaldo and his family have been on the island for about two months due to the coronavirus lockdown.
A newspaper named Diario de Noticias Madeira which works from the Island, reported that the private jet carried two chefs and a bodyguard who have been with Ronaldo in Madeira since March 9.
According to the newspaper, Ronaldo himself is scheduled to leave on the same plane on Monday so he can self-quarantine for a fortnight on club orders before resuming training.
