HFC Bank’s new Board Chairman, Mr. Charles William Zwennes together with the Managing Director, Mr. Robert Lennard Le Hunte and the President of Republic Financial Holdings Limited (RFHL), Mr. Nigel Mark Baptiste paid a courtesy call on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo last Thursday at the Flagstaff House.
Nana Addo congratulated Mr. Zwennes on his elevation to the position of Board Chairman of HFC Bank and wished him well.
The President of Republic Financial Holdings Limited (RFHL), the largest shareholder of HFC Bank Ghana expressed the bank’s commitment to work with HFC Bank in enhancing their skills in SME and Energy financing, which he said, will go a long way in assisting the government’s private sector driven economic recovery plans.
He also reiterated his commitment to assist in facilitating a contingent of business men from the Caribbean region who were prepared to invest and deepen trade links with Ghana. He had earlier made the same commitment in a meeting with the Minister for Business Development, Ibrahim Mohammed Awal.
President Akufo-Addo endorsed the initiative and reiterated the government’s position of Ghana being open for business and investments.
Mr. Le Hunte congratulated the president on his government’s first 100 days in office and the initiatives taken so far in stabilizing the exchange rate and creating renewed confidence in the economy.
