Lands and Natural Resources Minister Samuel Abu Jinapor is wooing investors into the mining sector following the discovery of new minerals in the country.
Mr. Jinapor says Ghana is gradually becoming a new place for mineral investment.
Speaking at the 2024 Inter-Government Mining Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, Samuel Abu Jinapor says Ghana has the resources that need exploitation.
“Pursuant to the vision of President Akufo-Addo to ensure that we derive optimal benefits from our mineral resources, we have constructed, through a public-private partnership, a 400-kilogram capacity gold refinery to refine the gold we produce, and we are working with the relevant stakeholders to secure a London Bullion Marketing Association Certification in respect of our other minerals.”
