Failed parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kpandai constituency, Richard Nyamah, has urged his team not to feel sad or depressed because he lost.
Nyamah lost the Kpandai Parliamentary primary to Matthew Nyindam. The campaign leading up to the elections was intense, with both candidates tirelessly traversing the Kpandai constituency, addressing crowds, and outlining their visions for the region.
Richard Nyamah polled 60 votes while Matthew Nyindam won 682 votes to secure his victory.
Addressing journalists, Mr. Nyamah said, “So my team, please know that you did your best. We live to fight another day. I understand that at this point you might be dejected and in pain, but I remember telling you that whatever the result is, I am ready for it.”
Meanwhile, he pledged his support for Nyindam to ensure that he wins the polls in 2024.
“I promise that I will put my shoulder to the wheel to ensure that my brother Matthew Nyindam and our Vice President, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, become the MP and the President, respectively,” he said.
