Coca-Cola Bottling Company Limited on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 donated assorted Coca-Cola products to Citi FM to support the company’s 2021 annual Eastern Orphan Project.
Ernest Yeboah Obeng, the Corporate Social Responsibility & Communications Lead for the company made the donation to the CSR Coordinator for Citi FM/Citi TV, Kafui Kuwornoo on Tuesday.
The gesture forms part of the company’s contribution to Citi FM’s Easter Orphan project which aims at putting smiles on the faces of orphans in selected orphanages in the country.
The products donated include Coca-Cola, Sprite and Fanta.
Kafui Kuwornoo expressed appreciation to the company for the gesture, stressing that the items will go a long way to support the young orphans at the Baptist School Complex Orphanage (BASCO) in Trotor, near Suhum.
She further appealed to other organizations and individuals to also emulate the gesture and donate items such as bags of rice, gari, beans, sugar, maize, milk and others towards the cause.
Biscuits, drinks, detergents, toiletries, hand sanitisers, disinfectants, among other items are being received at the front desk of Citi FM and Citi TV, behind the Adabraka Police Station.
Every Easter, Citi FM solicits food and general items from its listeners and corporate bodies to be donated to people who need it, including the Baptist School Complex Orphanage (BASCO).
