It has come to the attention of citinewsroom.com that a story published on this website on August 25, 2018 with the headline “Zongo Dev’t Fund disbursement to start by September – Hamid”, was not entirely accurate.
The report had quoted the Minister of Zongo Development and Inner Cities, Mustapha Hamid, as saying that the disbursement of the Zongo Development Fund was to commence by the end of September 2018.
However, the Minister’s mention of September, was rather a tentative timeline for the board to be fully ready to start work, and to also subsequently commence the process of administering the fund. This therefore does not suggest a disbursement of the fund from the month of September as reported earlir.
Citinewsroom.com regrets any inconvenience the report may have caused the person of the Agbogbomefia Togbe Afede XIV and his palace.
