Achimota Retail Centre (ARC) continues to dazzle shoppers and patrons with its month-long activities commemorating the independence of Ghana – activities which have transformed the centre into a vibrant hub of Ghanaian culture, entertainment and rare shopping opportunities.
Early this month, as part of its Ghana Month festivities, the Centre unveiled an electrifying line-up of entertainment, exclusive discounts and unbeatable offers designed to make every visit and shopping experience a memorable one.
The mall has rolled out an assorted celebratory menu which features thrilling performances in traditional music and dances, Ghanaian fashion, cuisine, games and exclusive promos and unbeatable discounts to give its customers and revellers of all ages a fun and engaging experience that celebrates the country’s diversity and excellence throughout March.
Ghana’s Independence Day is commemorated on March 6th but has now widely evolved into a month-long affair, showcasing the country’s remarkable history, diverse cultural heritage, outstanding achievements, and national pride.
Throughout the month, Achimota Retail Centre remains gript in the vibrant spirit of independence, thanks to its classy and iconic decorations.
The centre’s façade and public areas are drabbed in national colours and Kente fabric, while a stunning effigy of the independence arch prominently adorns the mall square. The Management proudly calls the set-up ‘a touch of Ghana’.
Over the weekend visitors witnessed an enthralling ‘Cultural Clash’ which featured a special package of live Ghanaian music and dance performances and a special women’s shopping extravaganza marking International Women’s Day – a day on which the mall offered exclusive discounts for women and featured inspirational video messages from some of its women entrepreneurs.
The University of Ghana Medical School provided complimentary health screening for shoppers and visitors at the mall as part of its ground-breaking Hypertension Awareness Project, promoting health and wellness among the community, while Melcom, ARC’s new anchor tenant, registered a ‘delicious’ addition to the mall’s stock of eateries when it opened “the Sip Café” and “The Art Kitchen”.
Coming up at the weekend, according to ARC Management, is a highly anticipated ‘Ghana Games Day’, which will feature competitive encounters in a series of popular traditional Ghanaian games; but another bill on the entertainment line-up which many revellers may be anxiously looking forward to is a musical splash on March 22.
The show will feature a Ghana-themed live band session which will treat shoppers and guests to choice Ghanaian Highlife, Hiplife and Afro-beat vibes.
“So you can tell it is clear that this year, ARC is fully immersed in the Independence celebrations, and throughout the month, we’re excited to offer a one-of-a-kind experience that will captivate our shoppers and visitors while nurturing national pride and community unity,” Centre Manager, Alice Esi Coleman told newsmen.
Achimota Retail Centre is located at Dome, near the St John’s Grammar School on the Accra-Nsawam Highway.
It is home to a wide range of Ghanaian and international brands with offerings in different retail categories, including fashion and clothing, electronics, groceries, and a range of delicatessens and eateries.
