UT Bank has rolled out a “100 for 100,000†promotion in a bid to mobilise deposits from banking consumers.
The promotion, which is expected to end in December this year, will reward existing customers and entice new ones as part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between the bank and its patrons.
Customers that want to enter the draw to win the grand prize of GH¢100,000 are expected to deposit a minimum of GH¢100 in their account to qualify for the draw.
The Deputy Managing Director of UT Bank, Pearl Esua-Mensah, explained that the bank has embarked on the promotion in an effort to rope in the unbanked population, who are the target market of the bank’s operations.
“What we have set out to do is to ensure that we can bank the unbanked. It has been our target since we started our operations as a non-bank institution, and it continues to be a target for us as a bank.
“We believe that the safest place to keep money is the bank. We have what it takes to manage their money safely and help them to grow it,†she said.
UT Bank, a publicly traded company, is one of the fastest growing banks in the country, providing innovative customer-oriented products with a focus on SMEs.
Over the years, the bank has positioned itself as the leading bank in SME banking and changed the face of banking in Ghana through fast and efficient delivery of service, maintaining its key mandate of providing “a loan in less than 48 hours.â€Â
Mrs. Esua-Mensah said the bank is convinced that some of its products designed and tailored to meet the banking needs of budget clients have not been fully optimised and will use the promotion campaign to draw attention to those products.
“We also want to take this opportunity to raise awareness about our accounts. We are sure that Ghanaians have not explored UT fully. This is the opportunity to explore all the products and services that UT has to offer,†she added.
