Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, Mustapha Foyo Grande, has justified why the government annulled all public sector appointments made after December 7, 2024.
In an interview on 3FM Sunrise with Johnnie Hughes on March 4, the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) argued that “we laid some of the people off because they were wrongfully recruited. We are yet to sack more, including public officials who are sabotaging government policies for political reasons.”
His comments come after some unidentified persons alleged to be supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stormed the party’s headquarters to demand jobs.
Mustapha Foyo Gbande indicated that “youth of the NDC have the right to demand jobs, those who thronged the party’s HQ have been engaged. We’ll create new jobs, and there are places where we will replace NPP and put NDC youth in.’’
The NDC during the 2024 general elections promised to make Ghana’s economy work every single time through the 24-hour economy policy.
When implemented it will be a cornerstone of economic strategy, which is expected to take centre stage as a game-changing initiative to drive industrial growth, boost productivity, and create sustainable employment opportunities.
