Ghana’s Black Galaxies are gearing up to face Nigeria in the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) playoff, and coach of the side Didi Dramani has expressed his optimism about their chances.
The Black Galaxies, under the guidance of coach Didi Dramani, have been engaged in intense training sessions at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram over the past few weeks.
As part of their buildup to the playoff matches, the team recently travelled to Lome, where they secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Togo, demonstrating their readiness for the upcoming hurdle.
In an interview with Supersport Blitz, the gaffer says he believes that with effort, energy, and tactical adaptability, they can overcome any challenge.
“We are working on trying to put together a team, building the process and being able to have the cohesion and the fluidity of the way we want to play. When we bring in the effort and the energy and our adaption in terms of our tactical element we should be able to sail through ” he said.
The CHAN playoff against Nigeria will be a stern test for the Black Galaxies. Dramani acknowledged Nigeria’s football prowess, however, the former Black Stars assistant coach believes his players are equally better.
“We are playing against one of the best countries in terms of football in Africa and Ghana is equally a very quality side when it comes to African football. The chances are very bright and that is what we are doing,” he added.
Ghana’s Black Galaxies had a commendable run in the 2022 CHAN tournament, advancing to the quarterfinals where they ultimately faced elimination at the hands of Niger, succumbing to a 2-0 defeat.
