Police in Northern Region have arrested 10 suspects linked to the Nyankpala shooting incident on December 7.
Northern Regional Police Commander COP Winful told the Chief of Nyankpala, Mohammed Ibrahim that two others have been declared wanted for their alleged involvement in the shooting of a young man who died instantly.
Some of the suspects have been transferred to Accra on the orders of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for questioning.
COP Winiful assured the Chief that despite the possible delay of case in court due to the processes regarding the murder, the police will never abandon it.
He urged the chief to encourage witnesses to help with the investigation of the case by giving a statement at the police station to aid the prosecution of all suspects involved.
On December 7, 3news’Northern Region correspondent Christopher Amoako reported that the shooting incident happened at “UDS Nyanpakala campus polling station.”
