Renowned Gospel musician, Piesie Esther has shared her reason why she will always avoid negative comments on social media.
In an interview on 3FM Drive, November 19, Piesie explained that she would rather focus on her career rather than respond to social media trolls from persons who she says have been paid to denigrate others.
“I have realized that some of these people who post the comments on social media have been paid to do what they are doing just to bring you down. Some of the comments, you ask why the person is writing this when you are doing your work and promoting your work.
“So, I don’t see the reason to bother myself and follow such people. I will just let it go and be focused on what I am doing. I will just let it go,” she said.
Responding to the issue of female gospel musicians now concerned with fashion as compared to earlier days, the ‘Waye Mi Yie’ singer said “there is nothing wrong” with gospel artistes especially females dressing to look good.
“The reason is that it adds some focus to you. It draws some people to come closer you. There is nothing wrong for you to see a gospel musician who has dressed well.
“You don’t have to expose your body but look good because the way you dress is how you will be addressed,” Piesie said.
The gospel singer is out with a new song, ‘At33ne’ released in October 2024. The new song, she said is a testament of God’s faithfulness in her life.
According to her, she had written ‘At33ne’ even before her ‘Mo’ song.
“I gave it to Kaywa before I release ‘Way3 mi yie’. So I decided that after ‘Way3 mi yie, ‘At33ne’ will be the next song to be released. But when God blessed me with ‘Mo’ song and I compared both, I decided to release ‘Mo’ to say Thank You to God for ‘Way3 mi Yie’. So, I released ‘Mo’ to also thank God for turning the tables (At33ne).”
