In a powerful call for change, Lawyer Kwame Owusu Danso (KOD), the dynamic running mate to Alan Kyerematen, leader of the Afrafranto Alliance, has ignited the spirit of the chiefs and people of Bibiani, rallying them to chart a new political course.
Addressing an enthusiastic crowd in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency of the Western North Region, Lawyer KOD highlighted the urgent need to shift from the repetitive cycle of voting for the NDC and the NPP, parties he suggested have failed to deliver lasting development to the Sefwi area since 1992.
“You’ve continually supported either the NDC or the NPP, yet the region has little to show in terms of development,” he asserted, receiving loud applause from the crowd gathered to witness the historic event. He called for a decisive break from this pattern in the upcoming elections, urging the people to rally behind Alan Kyerematen and the Movement for Change to restore prosperity and dignity to the area.
In the wake of the Afrafranto Caravan tour through the Western North, support for the Movement has swelled, with residents of Bibiani turning out in droves, thrilled by the promise of real change. As KOD outlined transformative GTP policies, the crowd’s cheers grew louder. Among the cornerstone policies is the establishment of a Traders Bank, designed to financially empower local businesses, providing them with access to affordable credit to grow and create jobs within the community.
Further winning hearts, he spoke on Alan Kyerematen’s commitment to sustainable community development, promising skill development initiatives that would train youth in responsible community mining techniques—safeguarding water bodies and forests while providing viable employment. “Alan Kyerematen and the Afrafranto Movement are here to offer solutions that will not only transform the economy but protect your environment and livelihoods for generations to come,” KOD affirmed, his words sparking hope among the gathered residents.
In addition to job creation and environmental protection, the GTP’s focus on social security resonated deeply. Through the Ghana Rural Ageing Support Program (GRASP), elderly citizens over 60 in rural areas who do not qualify for the SSNIT pension would receive GH¢200 monthly, easing financial burdens and offering much-needed health support for their wellbeing.
Describing the GTP policies as “comprehensive, purposeful, and long-overdue,” KOD emphasized the Movement for Change’s commitment to enacting these policies as early as January 2025. This commitment inspired confidence, especially among traditional leaders, who received him warmly when he paid courtesy calls on the Sefwi Anhwiaso and Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Councils. Seeking their blessings and prayers, Owusu Danso pledged a respectful and results-driven approach that would honor the needs of the people.
Throughout his speech, chants of “Ase3 Ho” filled the air as the people of Bibiani embraced the message of hope and transformation. Traditional leaders commended KOD for the dignity and respect displayed, noting his emphasis on substance over political attacks. They urged him to remember the chiefs and people of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai when the Afrafranto Movement assumes office.
The wave of enthusiasm and optimism in Bibiani marks a pivotal moment for the Movement for Change. With the Afrafranto Caravan drawing more supporters at each stop, the people of the Western North are sending a resounding message: they are ready to join hands with Alan Kyerematen and his team to usher in a new era of genuine development and transformation for Ghana.
