Cornerstone International Academy has announced the passing of two of its students in the recent accident at East Legon which involved the collision of two cars.
The school disclosed that two other students are receiving treatment at the hospital.
The collision resulted in the spark of a fire which led to two vehicles burning beyond recognition and the death of two persons, leaving three others injured.
In a statement, the school announced the loss of its pupils due to the accident. As part of efforts to grief with the bereaved families, Cornerstone International Academy announced a break in academic activities beginning October 15, 2024.
The school has since proceeded for a mid-term break and will resume on October 21, 2024.
“As we mourn the loss of our beloved students, our thoughts and prayers remain with the affected families. In this difficult time, we have decided to close school early for the mid-term break, effective tomorrow, October 15, 2024,” excerpts of the statement read.
“This adjustment demonstrates solidarity with grieving families and allows students and staff to process their emotions.”
“May the departed souls rest in peace. We wish those hospitalised a speedy recovery.”
